The Name Game

For a short time when I first started I called the business Poly-Amour (poly - short for polymer clay and Amour the French word for love) but people kept forgetting it and for one reason or another it wasn't engaging the public. Then over lunch with friends the name Trinkerbelle came up and it was like a light went off in my brain, I knew I wanted it and how I wanted to spell it and things escalated from there. My wonderful friend and graphic designer for Osomi created me a whole load of different logos and this is the one I chose.

For me it encompassed everything I wanted for my company. Girly and beautiful with an edge and a hint of the macabre, and the rest as they say is history...

In the beginning the mood all changed...

Here are some examples of my early work (in no particular order) some I love, some make me cringe but I thought you would like to see my progress none the less. At first I used online tutorials etc. but I decided almost instantly that I wanted to be very original and quickly gained my quirky Trinkerbelle style. I experimented a lot and there was plenty that never made it into the oven...my advice would be to never think of anything as a waste, I have learnt so much from the things that have gone so badly wrong. Through research and practice I found ways to make things stronger, more even and to get rid of those evil little finger marks.

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog, thank you for dropping by. Here I will post pictures of all my work, information on my upcoming events, my inspiration and occasionally tips etc. I really hope you like my work! Currently I am experimenting with new materials but Polymer Clay is my first love...I love working on requests so please get in touch...my jewellery is fun, cheeky and affordable. At the moment I stock the Brighton Arts Club and work off of my facebook page www.facebook.com/Trinkerbelle but am planning on setting up an Etsy page shortly. I have been designing jewellery since August 2012 but had a head start by being a Plasticine enthusiast from a young age. I have lots of exciting projects coming up including my first catwalk show in February...come and follow me on my exciting journey.
